Palette The four colors black-and-white games are drawn in. Color games are never affected.

Super Game Boy games bring their own colors, so there are no shades to replace. Turn it off below to use a palette.

Super Game Boy mode Adds color, and a border, to black-and-white games that were made for the Super Game Boy adapter. Other games are unaffected.

Show border A border makes the picture wider, so the screen changes shape when one appears.

Color correction Match the colors the original screen produced

Upscale filter Smooth the pixel art. Turns off integer scaling and scanlines while it is on.

Integer scaling Keep every pixel exactly the same size

Scanlines Overlay a faint line across each row of pixels

LCD response Colors settle slowly, the way the real screen did, so flickering sprites look see-through instead of blinking

Ambient glow Fill the background with a soft glow of the screen's colors

Improve audio quality in supported titles Experimental. Plays the music at higher quality in most GBA games. Switches itself on only where it works.

Pitch-correct fast-forward Keep the pitch normal at 2× speed instead of everything sounding like chipmunks. Slightly more CPU.

Analog low-pass filter Soften the treble the way the GBA's own speaker did. GBA games only.

App theme

Emulation

Rewind Hold the rewind button to jump back, or double-tap it for a timeline you can scrub. Costs a few percent of speed; turning it off hides the rewind button.

Run-ahead Cuts the delay between pressing a button and seeing it happen, by guessing the next frame. Costs extra CPU; ignored at 2× speed and in multiplayer

Force update Re-download the app and reload. Only needed if an update seems stuck.

Diagnostic log The app's log and build details, ready to paste into a bug report.

Reset all settings Put every setting back to its default. Your games and saves are kept.
